The ALLEGRETTO WAVE® for LASIK surgery

 

We are proud to feature the ALLEGRETTO WAVE system - currently the fastest and most accurate laser platform in the United States. This is the only laser system that has been concurrently approved by the FDA for the treatment of myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. The laser is not only fast, but also extremely safe and highly accurate. Studies demonstrate that it has a low occurrence of side effects, and carries an extremely high probability ( more than 90%) of achieving correction within one diopter of target improvement.

Refractive surgery with the ALLEGRETTO WAVE system is now the laser vision correction procedure of choice at our practice. We believe the precision of the laser is unparalleled. New PerfectPulse™ technology allows the laser to constantly measure the position of the eye during surgery, as many as 200 times per second. As a result, the movements of the laser are completely controlled, and the beam of energy will adjust automatically, and even stop on its own if the eye changes position. This level of accuracy in vision correction minimizes side effects like glare, halos and night vision reduction. The laser is designed to preserve the natural shape of the cornea, which improves all aspects of visual outcomes.
